Reconstituted Tobacco Technology

Recon Process Slurry Type (Comas LA Design)

The By-Product generated from previous process as Threshing Line, Primary Line, Make & Pack, is now collected and used into a process that generate a foil very similar to the natural leaves of tobacco. The foil is than cut into strips for ease blending with other tobacco.

The tobacco by-products` blend is thoroughly mixed before grinding to particles size < 120µ, and then mixed with a adhesive natural gums. The tobacco powder mixed with natural gum adhesive powder is blended together with liquid solution, in such a way to form a slurry or dough/pasta. The tobacco slurry is than cast on the dryer belt by means of a roll coater system, or a laminator to form a sheet. Then dried to remove the excess water, cut and packed.
